Abstract:

When the partially correlated waveforms are transmitted by multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar, the performance of the amplitude comparison mono-pulse (ACM) method is analyzed theoretically. By establishing the signal model of the general signal model of MIMO radar, the fluctuation of the left and right beam, which is caused by the noise, is analyzed statistically by adopting the matrix differential technique, and the corresponding theoretical performance of the ACM method is derived. Moreover, the theoretical angle estimation performance of the ACM method in the orthogonal MIMO and the phased array radar can be obtained directly from the derived result. The performance of the ACM method is verified through numerical experiments.
