Abstract:

When the main-lobe barrage interference exists, the target echo signal is submerged by the interference, which leads to wrong detection and error tracking. Though the interference can be suppressed by polari zation filtering, a bias is introduced in the monopulse processing. For this problem, a novel method based on polarization filtering and polarization synthesis (PF-PS) is proposed in recent years. However, in real scenario, the performance of PF-PS is affected by non-ideal factors of polarization, which include antenna cross-polarization response and the polarization instability of the target and the interference caused by posture changing. In this work, the PF-PS method is improved by modeling the two nonideal factors of polarization, which improves the tracking performance of the proposed method in main-lobe barrage interference.
