Abstract:
A three dimensional multiple input multiple output (3D MIMO) channel model is studied by introducing the elevation angle to the conventional two dimensional multiple input multiple output (2D MIMO) channel model. The 3D Kronecker channel model is deduced with typical attena arrays of uniform linear array (ULA), uniform circular array (UCA) and uniform rectangle array (URA) respectively. Furthermore, channel models under Gaussian distribution, Laplacian distribution and Von Mises Fisher (VMF) distribution are also discussed. Simulation results show that when the angle of signal is VMF distributed, the channel model achieves the maximum capacity. In this case, the ULA channel model possesses bigger capacity than those of UCA and URA.
