Abstract:

Differential chaos shift keying (DCSK) has lots of advantages, such as anti-noise and low detection complexity, but it has a low transmission rate. In order to increase the transmission rate, a novel DCSK communication system based on the space time block code (STBC) technology is proposed. The proposed STBCDCSK system, which makes good use of the cross-correlation property of chaos sequences, has the advantages of the DCSK system and does not require any channel state information. Moreover, the STBC-DCSK system increases the transmission rate and has lower detection complexity. The theoretical bit error rate (BER) performance is derived under multi-path Rayleigh fading channels. Numerous simulation results show that the proposed scheme enhances the transmission rate with a small BER performance sacrifice.
