Mutual coupling compensation in 8element uniform circular array

Abstract:

A mutual coupling compensation method in 8 element uniform circular array is proposed. Firstly, the compressed sensing method is used to determine the direction of arrival (DOA) of the calibration signal source, as well as the initial mutual coupling coefficients. Then the mutual coupling coefficients are obtained by solving an optimization problem. Simulation results show that the proposed compressed method is able to estimate the DOA of the calibration source with a high accuracy and the mutual coupling coefficients obtained by the proposed method are able to calibrate the 8 elememt uniform circular array excellently.
