Abstract:

The visual analytics problem is deeply studied which combines the time varying satellite topology network and information visualization, and a multiple view visual analytics framework is proposed. This framework integrates traditional two view structure, focuses on the dynamic time varying characteristic of satellite network, designs and implements a novel time varying topology network visualization view which obeys the aesthetic standards of network layout and preserves the user's mental map for network topology perception. The experiments show that the multiple view visual analytics framework enriches the patterns of satellite network visualization, represents the time varying characteristic from multiple perspectives, and has the ability to support the applications such as routing analysis of data packets, and assists the users to understand network and make decision.
