Abstract:

Aiming at the problem of tracking mode selection of ballistic targets by using a spaceborne radar, on the basis of establishment of a coordinate system required by spaceborne radar for tracking orbital targets, two modes are designed, the one is that the conversion is performed firstly, then the absolute state of motion is tracked; the other is that the relative state of motion is tracked firstly, then the coordinate conversion is performed. The analysis of constraints for the two tracking modes is discussed, which includes the characteristics of measuring error transferring and the difficult for establishment of state modeling. Finally, a simulation experiment is made for the comparison of tracking accuracy of the two designed modes. The simulation results show that, compared with the former mode, the latter mode can obtain a significant improvement in tracking performance. The research can provide the design basis for spaceborne radar tracking ballistic target mode selection.
