Abstract:

A new approach of pole assignment design in conjunction with prediction orrection technique is proposed to solve the deficiencies of traditional pole assignment design in which open oop crossover frequency is considered to be one performance index in the threeloop autopilot design. The threeloop autopilot is designed for a certain tactical missile by the proposed methodology, and the flight ontrol system satisfies designerchosen openloop crossover frequency criteria, meanwhile having a more advanced performance than one by traditional methods. The role of every loop of the autopilot in the tactical missile control system is analyzed. Some design examples are presented, the experimental results show that this method overcomes the defects of previous methods. It is convenient and effective, has a fast convergence rate and a small amount of calculation. This algorithm is very useful to threeloop autopilot engineering design.
