Abstract:
The disadvantages of the current algorithms for underwater acoustic ad hoc networks are analyzed. After that, an energy and time efficiency based topology control algorithm is proposed. The network topology is controlled by a singlehop transmission cost parameter defined in the algorithm. The parameter describes the energy consumption, communication delay and the signal attenuation of the networks. The simulation result shows that the new algorithm has a better performance on the average node degree, endtoend delay and the energy efficiency.
