Abstract:

The chattering problem for generalized variable structure control (VSC) systems is investigated and a new control strategy which is nominated as dynamic soft VSC is presented. First of all, the definition of soft VSC and the construction modes of its controller are given. Secondly, the stability of generalized dynamic soft VSC systems is analyzed and the generalized soft VSC is designed. The concrete algorithm on the dynamic soft VSC is given. Soft VSC for generalized systems which is developed for the purpose of intentionally precluding sliding modes and achieving high regulation rates and shortening setting time can decrease the chattering and enhance the dynamic quality of the control systems. Finally, a simulation example illustrates the feasibility and validity of the proposed approach and presents an outlook on its auspicious further development.
