Abstract:
The problem addressed is satellite attitude control with disturbance avoidance using nonlinear H∞ approach. A two-step integrated and systematic approach is developed for the modeling and control of large angle maneuvers of a satellite through convex optimization. In the first step, the attitude dynamics of the satellite body are changed to a linear parameter variation form. In the second step, a Lyapunov based controller synthesis is performed based on the sum of squares (SOS) technique, the stabilizing and nonlinear H∞ disturbance avoidance controlers are given. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the designed controller.
