Abstract:

The plane wave time domain algorithm can reduce the computational complexity and memory requirement of the time domain integral equation (TDIE), but the memory requirement of the near field part of the impedance matrix is still large. An overlapped domain decomposition method (ODDM) is used to reduce the memory requirement of TDIE, and expenditure on memory capacity is reduced through dividing the object into several sub-domains and reducing the scale of the impedance matrix by using a characteristic basis function method. The numerical results demonstrate that this hybrid technique is suitable for the transient analysis of electromagnetic scattering problems.
