Abstract:

The micro-Doppler caused by micro-motion of a target or its components is an important feature for target recognition. High resolution Doppler measurement and micro-motion extraction are key steps for recognition. The scheme of continuous wave radar for micro-motion measurement is designed, and the independent received and transmitted micro-strip antenna is analyzed and designed, then an X band continuous wave radar and its data sample device are made. Based on the real measured data of this radar, the micro Doppler features of humans walking gait including body, arms and legs are extracted using a time-frequency analysis method, and the experiments verify the validity of data measured by the radar.
