Abstract:

An along-track interferometry robust principal component analysis (ATI-RPCA) method for ground moving target indication (GMTI) is proposed in the multi-channel synthetic aperture radar (MC-SAR) system by combining ATI and RPCA method under strong clutter background. The proposed method can provide more robust performance by comparing with the traditional ATI method, but it increases the computational complexity. Additionally, the method can decrease the probability of false alarm (PFA) and greatly reduce the computational complexity compared with the conventional RPCA algorithm. In general, the proposed method realizes relative robus target dection performance. The experimental results by applying the proposed method into a set of measured three-channel SAR data are consistent with the analysis presented in this paper.

Key words: multi-channel synthetic aperture radar (MC-SAR), ground moving target indication (GMTI), along-track interferometry robust principal component analysis (ATI-RPCA) method, probability of false alarm (PFA)
