Dual-polarized antenna space coding method based on micro drone

Abstract:

A multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) method combined with dual-polarized antenna and space frequency code is put forward to enhance anti-multipath capability of datalink used in micro drones. The method achieves space diversity by dual-polarized antenna and frequency diversity by multiple carriers features inherent in OFDM; at the same time, a design approach of dual-polarized omnidirectional antenna used in engineering is given. The simulation results reveal that the method can enhance the anti-multipath ability of communication system compared with the conventional single-in single-out (SISO) datalink, and has diversity advantage over space time block code (STBC) at high speeds, it can improve the anti-fading performance of micro drone in low elevation and has broad engineering application prospects in high data rate transmission field.
