Abstract: As for nonsidelooking array, the performance of adaptive processing degrades seriously because of the heterogeneity of training samples. Thus, the angleDoppler compensation (ADC) method and its improvement methods based on iterative adaptive approach (IAA) are proposed. The proposed method finds the central position of space and Doppler domain where the main clutter in each range gate lies via IAA, then compensates the angle and Doppler for training data in the cell under test. To solve the problem of slow searching speed and low searching accuracy of the power spectrum estimation in the whole space time domain, two kinds of local searching power spectrum estimation methods are proposed: fast iterative adaptive approach (FIAA) and adaptive remeshing based on iterative adaptive approach (ARIAA). Simulation results prove the effectiveness of our proposed methods, and the performance of these methods will be improved with the improvement of spectral estimation approach.
