Abstract:

To help the ground important moving targets reduce the threat from synthetic aperture radar-ground moving target indication (SAR-GMTI) adequately, based on the intermittent sampling jamming technology to SAR, the two-dimensional (2-D) intermittent sampling slow time-delay repeater jamming method aiming at countering multi-channel SAR-GMTI is proposed. This method leads to the seasonal expansion of 2-D frequency spectrum of the jamming signal through 2-D intermittent sampling, which directly generates the group of false targets that cannot be restrained by SAR-GMTI totally. And using slow time-delay repeater is further put forward to control the false targets’ azimuth position. Based on this, the multiple-unit time-delay repeater jamming application model is given to deal with the cancelling character of SAR-GMTI. Theoretical analysis and simulation show that this jamming method can produce 2-D multiple false targets for multi-channel SAR-GMTI, and the amplitudes of false targets are influenced by the sinusoidal modulation function, bringing out enhanced and weakened areas. The multiple-unit azimuth time-delay repeater jamming can make the enhanced and weakened areas complement each other to produce more compact and wide 2-D group of false targets.
