Abstract:

The modeling and simulation of the radar echo of chaff cloud have always been a hot issue in the area of electronic countermeasures. In order to reflect the otherness of radar echo under conditions of different polarization and different incident direction, on the basis of existing research results about the motor patterns, backscatter characteristic of single chaff, the theoretical research of deducible modeling is completed through analyzing the angular relationship between the sight along with its polar components and the radar antenna and the chaff. Then, the problem of huge computational cost of the deducible simulation is solved by designing a CPU and GPU series-parallel program based on compute unified device architecture (CUDA). Finally, the simulation result is analyzed from the aspects of range-Doppler, amplitude distribution characteristics of the radar echo and so on, and its credibility is demonstrated by comparing with the collected and theoretically derived data field.
