Abstract:

In order to study the effect of phased array radar seeker adopted the phantom bit technology on missile detection and guidance performance, according to the principle of antenna element shift phase, both the antenna element shift phase law and the reason of boresight error are analyzed under phantom bit conditions, the antenna beam propagation model is established. Based on the space vector relationship, the antenna pattern is derived, subarray and comprehensive factor pattern expressions are established under the condition of subarray scan. The effect of the scanned subarray on quantization sidelobes is analyzed when existing the initial antenna scanning angle. The simulation results show that the phantom bit technology can bring boresight error, because of the subarray scanning, the subarray zero position is coincided with the comprehensive factor grating lobe position, which cannot lead to the oversize quantization sidelobes electrical level.
