Abstract:

Objective and effective performance evaluation methods give a stiff basis for comparing the performance of different multiple target tracking algorithms (MTTA). This intuitively will impel the theory development and engineering application of MTTA. Based on extensive investigation of published literatures, the existing performance evaluation methods of MTTA are classified into several categories. The elemental principles and advantages/disadvantages of the evaluation methods are surveyed in detail, and direction of their future is also discussed.
