Abstract:

The characters of radar cross section (RCS) of combat aircraft mounted missiles is studied. Based on physical optics and the equivalent electromagnetic flow method, this article compares the RCS features between the thirdgeneration combat aircraft with external missiles and stealth combat aircraft with internal missiles. Using CATIA and Matlab, this paper finishes the numerical simulation of RCS characteristics of combat aircrafts system analyzes the influence of the RCS value of the different targets on radar detection probability, and then studies the influence of the different radar frequency bands on the detection probability of the stealth combat aircraft system with internal missiles. The results show that the stealth combat aircraft with internal missiles is obviously superior in RCS features and distance detected by radar to the third-generation combat aircraft.
