Abstract:

The orthogonal performance is an important aspect for the opportunistic array radar (OAR) system, which is a new radar concept with the core of designing the platform stealth. The searching methods for conventional radar orthogonal waveform are improved, by using the hybrid genetic simulated annealing algorithm to design the discrete frequency code waveform with low autocorrelation and cross correlation. The novel algorithm marries simulated annealing with genetic algorithms and evaluates fitness function by the grey correlation model, which decides the searching direction of algorithms and weights of fitness. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is effective for the design of orthogonal phase signals used in OAR systems and superior to other algorithms.
