MPSK carrier frequency estimation algorithm based on subband signals

Abstract:

Uniform subband technology is a useful data processing method for broadband channelization. In view of the disseverment of signal spectrum in uniform subband channelization, a mathematical model is established for M phase-shift-keying (MPSK) subband signals. The spectrum distortion of object signals is considered as the transition of the shape function. It is proved that the subband signal preserves the cyclostationarity of original signals. A new carrier frequency estimation algorithm is presented based on the spectrum of subband signals without merging the subbands. This algorithm improves the efficiency of broadband processing. The influences of the frequency domain coverage percentage and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are analyzed with the computer simulation. The effectivity and credibility of this algorithm are testified by theoretical deduction and simulations.
