Abstract:
To deal with the contradiction between high resolution and wide swath in spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging, an imaging algorithm based on multiple input multiple output (MIMO) and Scan mode is proposed. The wide swath in range direction is achieved by controlling the beam footprint scanning in several subswaths periodically. Meanwhile, in order to compensate the degraded of azimuth resolution inherent in scan mode, this paper applies the beamforming method based on multiple receive antennas to implement Doppler ambiguity removal in the condition of low pulse repetition frequency (PRF) sampling. In addition, the high resolution in range direction is obtained with multiple antennas transmitting signals with different center frequencies and bandwidth synthesizing technique. Finally, the feasible system parameters are designed, and the corresponding simulation results confirm the validity of the method.
