Abstract:

Single polarized radars have not the polarization measurement and processing ability, which brings fundamental difficulty in anti-jamming in polarization domain. By using the spatial polarization-modulation effect on incoming signals as antenna scanning, the polarization decomposition and parameter estimation of single polarization returns are studied. Based on this principle, a spatial null phase-shift interference suppression polarization filter (SNPS-ISPF) is designed. It can suppress jamming and will not change the amplitude and phase of target signals after polarization filtering. It enables radar coherent processing and polarization information processing to work simultaneously. The validity is proved by simulation and derived data.
