Abstract:

Co-channel interference has the characteristics of suppressing interference and deceiving interference, which is an interference difficult to resist. Waveform design is a new way to resist co-channel interference. This paper analyzes and summarizes the mechanism and signal characteristics of the same frequency interference, and studies the characteristics of the output signal after the two-stage phase encoding variable waveform pulse compressing mismatch. On this base, a method of using phase encoding variable waveform combined with constant false-alarm rate (CFAR) to resist the co-channel interference is proposed. By setting the phase encoding waveform and matching compression filter reasonably, the interference is in a state of mismatch, and then the interference is filtered through the CFAR. The simulation results show that the two-stage phase encoding has a reasonable setting of waveform and cooperating with CFAR detection processing, which can effectively extract the useful target echo signal from the interference, and is excellent in applicability to strong co-channel interference.

Key words: co-channel interference, phase encode, constant false-alarm rate (CFAR), wave form design
