Abstract:

Based on the long-term experimental data of UHF-band passive radar system, the characteristics of fan blade micro motion echo of helicopter, navigable aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicle, wind turbine and other targets are compared and studied. The micro motion echoes of the fan blades are firstly highlighted by means of multipath clutter suppression and target main echo removal, then the characteristics of the fan blade micro motion echoes in time domain, frequency domain, time-frequency domain, and Range-Doppler (RD) spectrum are analyzed in detail, and the corresponding relationships between the micro-Doppler features and the geometric structures and motion states of the fan blades are revealed. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical model, which provides data and theoretical supports for the establishment of the micro-Doppler feature database of passive radar, serving for the subsequent deep-seated applications such as target fine modeling, target classification and recognition.
