Abstract:

The performance of a multiuser hybrid satellite-terrestrial cooperative network (HSTCN) based on threshold-base multiuse feedback schem is investigated. By adopting the amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol in relay and multiuser opportunity scheduling scheme, the output signal to noise ratio (SNR) is obtained. Then, by assuming that the satellite links experience shadowing-Rician fading while the terrestrial links undergo Rayleigh fading, the closed-form expressions for feedback outage probability, ergodic capacity and the average number of feedback users with the threshold-based channel state information feedback method is derived. Finally, computer simulation not only verifies the correctness of the analytical results, but also proves that multiuser scheduling scheme with the threshold-based feedback can reduce the amount of system feedback greatly while the performance is almost unchanged.

Key words: hybrid satellite-terrestrial cooperative network, multiuser feedback, feedback outage probability, ergodic capacity, average number of feedback users
