摘要:

自由参数的选取以及全局性的灰度映射函数限制了空域图像增强方法的性能。针对这一问题,从图像融合的角度出发,提出了一种基于子图融合技术的图像增强方法。首先,将自适应空域图像增强看作是一个图像融合过程,将通过枚举自由参数得到的子图序列作为待融合的图像;其次,根据图像细节、饱和度、亮度信息来计算待融合图像的权重;最后,根据估算的权重进行图像融合得到增强图像。另外,将这一方法应用于改进一些较为常用的空域图像增强算法,如:分段线性变换、Gamma校正、对比度拉伸变换等算法。根据实验结果可知,所提方法能够有效地提高空域图像增强的视觉效果。

Abstract:

The performance of the image enhancement method in the spatial domain is limited by free parameters and global gray mapping functions. From the perspective of image fusion, an image enhancement algorithm based on subimage fusion is proposed to solve this problem. Firstly, the adaptive image enhancement is regarded as a process of image fusion and the enhanced images which are derived from enumeration are as the fusion images. Secondly, the weights of fusion images are estimated according to the information of details, saturation and luminance of fusion images. Eventually, the enhancement image is fused according to the estimated weights. Moreover, the proposed method is used to improve some conventional image enhancement methods in the spatial domain, e.g. piecewise linear transformation, Gamma correction, contraststretching transformation. The experimental results show that the proposed method is able to improve the visual effect of image enhancement in the spatial domain.
