Abstract:

A method for target management and passive target location based on information fusion is put forward. The target management and passive location demand of tank unit are taken as the application background. Firstly, the image information of the battlefield is used to acquire the type, position and pose information of the target, and the problems of how to determine the identity of the same target in different tanks’ telescopes and the management of the target are solved through the comparison of the three kinds of characteristics of the target. Then the target position estimation is achieved by using our tank location and the vertical angle, horizontal angle of the target, and the main sources of error are analyzed. Finally, an algorithm of error fusion estimation and compensation for the passive target location system is proposed based on minimizing the error of target position estimation. The precision of passive target location is enhanced evidently, and the validity of the method is verified by simulation and field experiments.
