Abstract:

When the passive location system detects the earth's surface or sea surface target, it takes into account that the target is on the earth's ellipsoid and the influence of the earth's curvature cannot be ignored. In this paper, firstly, the earth ellipsoid model is adopted to establish the geodetic rectangular coordinate system based on the time difference and frequency difference passive localization method of the cooperation of two aerial observation stations. Secondly, using the information of arrival time difference and frequency difference of the target received by the two stations, the quartic equation of one variable is solved by the method of matrix constructing and the geodetic rectangular coordinates of the target are obtained, and the geometric accuracy factor of the two stations is studied. Compared with the four-station time difference localization algorithm, the proposed algorithm has a higher application value and provides a new technical idea for passive detection of long-range ground or sea targets.

Key words: passive location, time difference of arrival, duel-station cooperation, elliptic equation of the earth, frequency difference of arrival
