Abstract:

The direction of arrival (DOA) estimation method for wideband coherent signals based on differential technology eliminates noise components face the limitation of coherent sources number in the presence of color noise. To address this problem, an estimation algorithm based on noise circular characteristic denoising and Toeplitz matrix reconstruction is proposed. First, the covariance matrix of the received signal is calculated, in which the noise is eliminated by using the circular property of the noise. In order to meet the requirements of Toeplitz matrix reconstruction of covariance matrix, a new data covariance matrix is constructed by multiplying the covariance matrix. Then, the decoherence is carried out by the reconstruction of thes Toeplitz matrix. Finally, the focusing matrix is constructed by using the rotating signal subspace (RSS) algorithm criterion, and the propagator method (PM) algorithm is used to realize the DOA estimation. Theoretical analysis and simulation experiments show that the algorithm is effective and there is no restriction for the parity of coherent sources. The algorithm is also suitable for DOA estimation of wideband coherent signals under white Gaussian noise.
