High-precision time synchronization of 5G-TSN system

Abstract:

It is necessary to achieve high-precision time synchronization in 5G-TSN systems integrated with the fifth generation communication system (5G) and time sensitive networking (TSN). Therefore, a multi-beam joint timing synchronization algorithm is proposed to improve the success rate of synchronization signal detection and achieve high-precision 5G-TSN time synchronization. Firstly, the combination of synchronization signal blocks cross-correlation between beams is calculated according to the time-domain relationship between multiple beams, and the expected value is obtained as the threshold value. Then, a number of beams exceeding the threshold are used to perform cross-correlation superposition peaks, and the time-domain index corresponding to the maximum peak value is calculated, so as to complete the timing synchronization of primary synchronization signal. Finally, the propagation delay is estimated in a combined time-frequency domain to reduce synchronization errors. The simulation results show that the use of the timing synchronization algorithm based on multi-beam joint has more significant correlation peaks than the traditional algorithm, which can effectively improve the success rate of timing synchronization.
