Abstract:

Aiming at the problem that the ground-based detection system cannot clearly observe the small and medium-sized debris, an autonomous satellite optical observation and removal planning simulation method is proposed. The simulation platform is adopted based on the combining design of the C++, QT and STK(satellite tool kit). Its main functions include self-generation of massive debris, optical observation, debris and satellite rendezvous and autonomous debris removal planning. It can effectively achieve the screening of massive debris data and the time sequence planning of satellite attitude and on-off time of removal payload during satellite autonomous observation and removal tasks. Finally, by downloading data from the space-track website and artificially generating debris around the satellite orbit as the input conditions, the feasibility of the simulation platform is effectively verified.

Key words: small and medium-sized debris, optical observation, removal planning, combining design
