Abstract:

The 2-dimensional radar image of the target reflects geometrical shape of the target, scattering structure, and so on, which is one of the most important characters of the target. Although there is no migration through resolution cells in the highresolution range profile, targets with micro-motion can cause nonlinear phase for the echo of wideband radar, which makes the 2-dimensional radar image smeared when the fast Fourior transform is used to realize pulse compression in azimuth. To solve this problem, a wideband imaging method for micromotion target based on coherent Doppler interferometry is proposed. The main idea is to obtain the image of the strong scattering points in the same range cell, by using coherent Doppler interferometry, respectively at first. And then, the 2-dimensional image of the target is reconstructed. Computer simulations demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm.
