Abstract:
Systemic detection probability for attacking ballistic missiles is a key factor to assess missile detection system performance. Based on search theory, under the condition of no target indicator and infrared early warning satellite indicator, the detection probability models of long-range earlywarning ground radar aiming at ballistic missiles are set up respectively. According to the set theory, the paper proposes the definition and expression of systemic detection probability, and analyzes the increment between target indicator and no target indicator. Taking the “Pave Paws” radar as an example, the results of detection probability are provided under the condition with or without target indication. The research process can be applied to design the missile detection system.
