Abstract:

Aiming at the traditional magnetic beacons using amplitude information for target localization suffer from many shortcomings such as large measurement errors and low localization accuracy, a target orientation mechanism based on heart-shaped modulated magnetic signals is proposed. Firstly, the heart-shaped directional map principle of the radio navigation antenna is borrowed to generate heart-shaped modulated magnetic signals using permanent magnets and energized wires. Secondly, the effect of different distances on the heart-shaped modulated signal is explored, and it is found that the modulated signal remains a single-peaked signal with increasing distance. Then, the effect of the tilt angle of the energized wire on the modulated signal is investigated, and it is found that the heart-shaped modulated signal works better when the energized wire is tilted at 30°. Finally, the angle measurement is performed using the modulated magnetic signal, and it is found that the measurement angle error is independent of the distance, and the feasibility of the magnetic signal for target orientation is verified by constructing an experimental platform and using a non-magnetic turntable.
