Reliability model of nuclear power plant warm standby systemconsidering shocks

Abstract:

In view of the system failure caused by shocks in nuclear power plant, the warm standby system is taken as the research object. Assuming that the working parts will be affected by degradation and shocks, while the standby components will only be affected by the shocks. Based on the Phase-type distribution, the life and the maintenance time of the system are described. And then the reliability model of the warm standby system of nuclear power plant considering the shocks is established. Meanwhile the analytic expressions of the related reliability indexes are derived. Finally, taking the redundant pump set of nuclear power plant as an example, the influence of the number of spare parts on the system reliability index is analyzed. The results show that the number of the spare parts can be optimized and the required reliability index can be obtained at the lowest cost.
