Abstract:
The impact of frequency source noise on bistatic synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is presented.Two independent oscillator phase noises will be superimposed directly in bistatic SAR, which may cause a timevariant shift, spurious sidelobes, as well as a defocusing of image.Quantitative estimates are derived analytically and requirement for coherent accumulated time is deduced based on the secondorder statistics characteristic of oscillator phase noise.The research results consummate the bistatic SAR imaging theory system and provide theory basis for the system design.
