Abstract:

The infrastructure networks are of great significance to the national economy, people's livelihood and social security. In order to assess network survivability under the physical attacks and disasters, the evaluation model of network survivability based on the regional damages is provided. The model divides the edges of network into virtual nodes, and a weighted clustering algorithm is proposed to find critical areas of the network. Normalization method is used to suppress the influence of network size and area on the assessment result. The model is of less complexity, requires less calculation and is convenient for various networks or the same network with different designs comparing. Chile electric power grid is used as experimental data to test the evaluation model and provide visualization results and analysis.
