Abstract: Wind shear is a meteorological phenomenon with high probability of formation and wide range of hazards. It has a great impact on the flight of rockets and projectiles. According to the theory of the potential flow, the micro-downburst vortex model, the airflow over mountain circular cylinder model and the plane wall low-level jet model are established. Based on this, a comprehensive model of low level wind shear considering weather and topography in the ground coordinate is designed. Take a 122 mm rocket as an example for simulation and analysis. The simulation results show that the comprehensive model has good three-dimensional characteristics, and can provide reasonable description of flow performance of typical wind shear. In the real-time ballistic simulation, the model can give effective reflections of how different kinds of wind shear affect the flight process of rockets and projectiles.
