Improved precoding channel estimation method for OFDM/OQAM system

Abstract:

To acquire a better performance, the channel state estimation at the receiver in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OQAM) system is an important link. For the channel estimation of scattered pilot-based OFDM/OQAM systems, this paper analyzes the precoding channel estimation method, and points out the high computation complexity of this method. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an improved precoding channel estimation method, which reduces complexity by using two precoding matrices, reduces the code number of the data symbol and the dimension of the precoding matrix, and decreases the computation complexity efficiently. The simulation result shows that under the same channel state the proposed method can obtain a similar channel estimation accuracy with the precoding method, and reduce the computation complexity of the system at the same time.
