Abstract:
To calculate the shielding effectiveness and absorbing attenuation of multi-ply shields and microwave absorbing material in the material design, the input impedance at the interface due to oblique incident plane wave is proposed, with which the shielding effectiveness and absorbing attenuation of multi-ply material due to arbitrary incident TE wave and TM wave are deduced. The expressions for the shielding effectiveness and absorbing attenuation are validated by the experiments. Furthermore, the influence of incident angle and polarization state on the shielding effectiveness and microwave absorbing performance are studied with the application and analysis of the deduced formulae, which will be useful for the design and application of electromagnetic materials.
