Abstract:

The target tracking performance is studied in bistatic multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar which transmits coherent pulses. The mathematical model of target tracking is constructed, and the recursion formula of Bayesian Cramer-Rao bound (BCRB) which can reflect the tracking performance is given for bistatic MIMO radar. Then the recursion formula is calculated based on the linear state equation of targets and the measure equation of bistatic MIMO radar. The influences of some parameters on the tracking performance are analyzed by the simulations. It shows that bistatic MIMO radar can get a better tracking performance when the measure signal-to-noise ratio, the number of measure pluses and the space of array element are larger. And under a certain transmitted power, bistatic MIMO radar has a better tracking performance when the number of transmitted antennas are larger.
