Abstract:

To extract the radar target scattering centers, a novel twodimensional polarization linear variation ESPRIT (2D-PL-ESPRIT) method based on fullpolarization 2D-GTD model is proposed. Meanwhile, theoretical analysis shows the feasibility of the 2D-PL-ESPRIT method to extract the scattering centers. However, the estimation accuracy is improved and the computational load is greatly decreased compared with the method for extracting the parameters from multiple single polarization channels. Compared with the parallel polarization MUSIC method (2D-PP-MUSIC), the new method avoids the searching of the spatial spectrum and getting scattering types from the orthogonal method. The complex multiplication computational complexity of three methods shows that the 2D-PL-ESPRIT owns the high operation efficiency. Finally, simulations show the validity of 2D-PL-ESPRIT method on fullpolarization 2D-GTD model to extract the scattering centers.
