Abstract:

A robust beamforming method based on the general rank signal model is presented. This method introduces the fractional lower order covariance to deal with the impulsive stable noise and presents a beamforming method against steering vector mismatches. The nonsingularity of the fractional lower order covariance is discussed. Due to the application of Frobenius norm for modeling the uncertainties between the actual and presumed array responses, this method provides a closedform solution. The simulations demonstrate the validity and superiority of the proposed beamforming method, under the Non-Gaussian stable noise and steering vector mismatches environments compared with the traditional methods.
