Abstract:

For the multi-column discontinuities existing on the aircraft surface, based on the superposition theory of the electromagnetic field, the principle of scattering coherence for the analysis of the multi-column electromagnetic discontinuities is proposed and deduced. Based on this principle, the research method for the mechanism of the multi-column discontinuities scattering is established; and the concept of the spacing electrical size is proposed. Series of radar cross section experiment indicate that, the scattering coherent principle could be used to accurately analyze the scattering mechanism of different types of multi-column discontinuities, and the spacing electrical size determines the distribution form of the scattering, which has important influence on the multi-column discontinuities’ scattering, while the different types of discontinuities mainly affect the size of scattering amplitude; and based on the coherent principle, and combined with the accurate numerical algorithm, the fast prediction method for multi-column discontinuities is proposed, whose accuracy is consistent with the multilevel fast multipole algorithm. Besides, this algorithm almost does not take up the computing memory and time.
