Abstract:

This paper proposes a new multi-target direction of arrival (DOA) tracking method based on fast data projection method and Kalman filter. First, the fast data projection method which is a robust adaptivesubspace tracking method with lower computational cost is applied to obtain each target’s time-varying DOA from the new subspace by Gaussian-Newton method. Finally, multiple targets’ DOA can be predicted accurately by Kalman filter. The tracking capability of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by computer simulations in scenarios involving targets with crossing trajectories. The proposed method has fast speed, high precision and can avoid data association.
