Abstract:

When the angle of the barrage interference source gets close to the target, the antenna gain for the interference becomes large, and the mainlobe barrage interference scenario is created, which leads to wrong detection, erroneous angle measurements and error tracking for the radarguidance system. By polarization filtering, the interference can be suppressed effectively, however, a bias connected with the residual interference and the crosspolarization component of target echo is also introduced in. Under some conditions, this bias become too large to be ignored, which may invalidate the monopulse measurement. By polarization filtering and polarization synthesis of sum and difference channels with two orthogonal polarization, an unbiased target angle estimation based on hybridpolarimetric system is developed.
