Abstract:

Using the impulse radio-ultra wideband(IR-UWB) technology into the tracking, telemetry and command (TT&C) system can greatly improve the security performance of the TT&C signal. And the problem that should be firstly considered is the selection of the TT&C signal scheme. Combining the two IR-UWB signal schemes commonly used currently, a new kind of hybrid modulation IR-UWB TT&C signal scheme is proposed, conducting amplitude modulation and position modulation to the pulse at the same time. Its transmission performance is analyzed by using the lognormal shadowing path loss model, its measuring performance is analyzed by using ambiguity function, and its anti-interference performance is analyzed in terms of blocking noise interference. Simulation results show that the hybrid modulation IR-UWB TT&C signal scheme has quite good transmission performance, measuring performance and anti-interference performance. It is an ideal IR-UWB TT&C signal scheme.
